The design uses a mix of collaged painted textures, fabrics and ephemera in a patchwork grid. There was lots of trial and error involved but I found a referring back to a fixed colour palette helped knit things together. It was loads of fun to do but a mammoth amount of work!
As well as a cute Kiwi gift wrap it would make a great New Zealand alphabet poster or use it to make some New Zealand decoupage.
