The artwork was created by using paper cutouts and collage. After getting the palette worked out I painted lots of large squares of textured paper using a variety of techniques; impasto, roller, watercolour and dry brush. When I was happy with these I scanned them and created the finish artwork in Photoshop.
The height chart looks great on the wall in a child’s bedroom or next to a door jam in the hallway. You can hang the chart full length (the bottom edge flush with the floor) using double sided tape or reusable adhesive tape. Alternatively you could crop the chart to the top of your skirting board, using the bottom edge against the floor as a guide on where to cut (see image below as an example).
