"I do not want art for a few; any more than education for a few; or freedom for a few..."
William Morris
Tanya Wolfkamp
Like her guiding star William Morris (1834-1896) Tanya Wolfkamp believes all objects deserve equal consideration no matter how humble. Everyone should be able to own beautiful things regardless of budget.
After gaining a degree in painting from Ilam School of Fine Arts Tanya focused on the decorative arts, exploring set and mural painting and then textile design under the direction of Peter J. Hall. She became art director of Maurice Kain Textiles and later Codi Design.
Her approach to design is as broad as the imagery she chooses to illustrate. Having honed a wide range of traditional art skills she welcomes the design challenge posed by clients and the creative energy of collaboration.
She has launched a debut range of gifts and homeware with her wonderful new collaborator Tikitibu NZ and more will be added every season.
If you love vintage inspired design, the traditional crafts of painting, collage and printmaking — and you have a maximalist colourful aesthetic — you've come to the right place.
Beauty is an adventure.
